Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) is founded in 1978. The university originally is the merger of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Electrical & Mechanical Branch and Branch College of East-China Textile Institute of Science and Technology. Today SUES is highly recognized as a university specializing in applied technologies and engineering sciences, known for the interdisciplinary educational programs across the well-coordinated development of undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced vocational education.
SUES is spread out over 3 campuses. The main campus is located in Shanghai Songjiang University Town, covering an area of 800,000 square meters. Following the creed of “Diligence, Veritas, Innovation and Dedication”, the green campus offers an environmental friendly, inspiring teaching and learning environment, while at the same time, provides advanced subordinate systems supporting teaching and scientific research.
For years SUES strives to immerse students in high level academics and practice-based collaborative learning. SUES has been boosting development of multidisciplinary studies across engineering science, business administration, art and design. SUES now thrives on 62 bachelor’s degree programs and 16 master’s degree programs at 17 schools, accommodating over 22,000 full-time students including about 3,900 postgraduates to pursue their academic future and obtain practical professional skills.
