Introduction of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture

In 1977, renamed as Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture with the approval of the State Council.

In 1982, identified as one of the first group of universities which were authorized by the government to offer bachelor degree programs.

In 1986, authorized to offer master degree programs.

In 2002, authorized by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education as the training centre for urban planning, construction and management talents.

In 2004, authorized by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education to receive overseas students.

In 2011, authorized by the Ministry of Education as the pilot university of " Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan".

In 2012, authorized as the Beijing Base for Climate Change Studies and Talent Training.

In 2012, authorized as the National Base for Architectural Heritage Protection Studies and Talent Training.

In 2012, authorized as the program for training PhDs serving specific national demands.

In 2013, approved to rename as Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
