XJTU Siyuan Scholarship supports bachelor students to study Chinese-taught programs. The scholarship includes tuition and living expenses. Scholarship covers the first year of degree education; the following academic year shall be comprehensively evaluated according to the student's academic performance in the university.

You will need to pay 20,000 RMB as the tuition fee to the university before you can get the admission letter.

Eligibility
1. 18-25 years of age & with good health status.
2. Valid foreign ordinary passport.
3. High school / senior secondary or advanced diploma.
4. Language skills.
Chinese taught program: Submit Chinese proficiency certificate. Proficiency must be above HSK 4 or equivalent.
English taught program: Submit English proficiency certificate. IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 (or above), or other equivalent English proficiency certificates recognized by our university.

1. Application form for the scholarship.
2. Photocopy of valid passport.
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included.
3. Passport photo.
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant.
4. Highest education transcript.
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5. Graduation certificate.
Diploma in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
6. Language certificate such as HSK, HSKK, TOEFL, IELTS (applicants whose mother tongue is Chinese/English are free from above certificate after getting approved from our school) .
7. Study plan written in English or Chinese with no less than 600 characters or words;
8. A recommendation letter written by high school headmaster or teachers (email, phone number and signature should be included.)
9. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (The applicant must strictly take all the examination as
required by the Form. Leaving a blank or absence of suggestion and signature of the doctor or seal of the hospital will make the form invalid. The results are valid for six months.)
10. Non-criminal record.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.
Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.
Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.
Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
