1. The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance. The students are entitled to an accommodation allowance of RMB 8,400 per person/year, a standard living allowance of RMB 2,500 per person/month and a comprehensive medical insurance of RMB 800 per person/year.

2. Degree students shall accept the annual assessment.

3. Evaluation and Re-evaluation of Admission Qualifications: SYUCT will evaluate and re-evaluate students’ admission qualifications upon and after registration.

Eligibility

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizen, in good physical and mental health and of good academic and behavioral standing. And the applicants should be aged between 18 and 25 years old up to 1 September 2023.

2. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a minimum score of 210 on the HSK (Level 3).

Documents You Need to Provide ( Application Documents Sample)

1. Passport photo page.

2. Highest diploma (notarized). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

3. Transcripts (notarized). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

4. HSK 3 above 210 scores report (valid for two years).

5. A certificate of no criminal record.

6. Proof of financial security.

7. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (see Appendix 1 for blank forms and instructions) filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner. Incomplete records or those without the seal on the perforation or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
The medical examination results are valid for 6 months. Please confirm the time when the medical examination is taken.

8. Other supporting materials, such as letters of recommendation, award ertificates.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
