1. Applicant shall be non-Chinese citizen, healthy, and without any criminal records.
2. Abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and university’s regulations.
3. Have good attitude toward learning, and have obtained good achievements in their previous studies.
4. Starts in September, funding period is 2 years. Have a bachelor's degree. Chinese language test scores should reach 180 points for HSK (Level 6) and 60 points for HSKK (Advanced Level). Priority will be given to those who provide a work agreement or relevant certificates at the institution where they plan to teach after graduation.
5. Degree students are required to participate in the annual review.
6. Age is 16-35 years old (unified as of September 1, 2023). The age limit for in-service Chinese teachers is relaxed to 45 years old

6. Applicants for degree programs must provide proof of their highest academic qualifications (certificate of expected graduation or proof of on-campus study. If the certificate is not in Chinese or English, corresponding notarized documents must be provided) and school study transcripts.
7. Applicants for the master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages must provide letters of recommendation from two supervisors with the title of associate professor or above. Those who provide a work agreement with the institution where they plan to teach after graduation will be given priority for funding.
Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.
Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.
Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.
Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
