Special Requirements
Pay Deposit Before Getting Admission Letter: Required, and You Will Need to Pay 2,000 RMB
You will need to pay 2,000 RMB as a deposit to the university before you can get admission letter, and usually it will be used as part of the tuition fee.
(1) Good physical and mental health (no infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with regular study).
(2) Applicants should be under 30 by September 1st, 2023.
17 years old student can apply, but need to find guardian in China
(3) Applicants should hold a high school diploma by September 1st, 2023.
(4) Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized tests such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/IGCSE/WAEC/GED. Applicants may provide other certificates as proof for academic performance.
(5) Language
Applicants should have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.
IELTS Academic Test overall 6.0 or above ( no less than 5.5 in each element ); TOEFL 80 or above ( My best Scores , iBT home edition , Essentials , DI code C317 are accepted ); PTE Academic Test (55 or above ); Duolingo English Test (105 or above ); Cambridge International Advanced LEVEL . English course -- A ; SAT (1150 or above ); Cambridge Main Suite Examinations( FCE ≥169 or CAE ≥180 or CPE )
(6) Nationality
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports. For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens, they must acquire a foreign nationality and cancel Chinese nationality before April 30, 2019 and have a record of actual foreign residency for more than 2 years from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023 (record of actual foreign residency for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, referring to the entry and exit date signatures).
Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:
(1)The certificate proving that the applicant obtained his/hers foreign nationality at birth;
(2)For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
